The brief

The owner had formerly obtained planning approval for an additional storey to be added to the existing bungalow. We were appointed to create detailed drawings for construction. The proposal was to transform a 2-bedroom bungalow into a 4-bedroom cottage.

The main objective was to ensure that the approved planning drawings were achievable especially with challenges such as height restraints that are associated with a cottage. Some original features were retained but we were also able to incorporate some design features that complimented the character of the cottage.
